I started designing this shoe because my griptape was always shredding my laces. I figured if you had a suede panel that ran overtop of the laces, it would protect them without compromising on flexibility, board feel, or manufacturing costs. I also included a rubber toe-cap in the design, because this was in 2016/17; the height of the toe-cap era of skate shoes.

In the future, I’d love to add a stitched/embroidered logo onto the tongue, add some topology to the laces to make them a little more realistic, and work on the suede texture.
