I started designing this shoe because my grip tape was always shredding my laces. I figured if you had a suede panel that ran overtop of the laces, it would protect them without compromising on flexibility, board feel, or manufacturing costs. I also included a rubber toe-cap in the design, because this was in 2016/17; the height of the toe-cap era of skate shoes.
The modeling for this project was all done in 3DS Max, and the texturing was done using Photoshop and Substance Painter.
